South Australia – Statewide
Still I Rise Psychology® was developed (in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic) with the primary mission to help young people and adults throughout South Australia to foster their resilience and strength in the face of adversity, through easily accessible and convenient psychology services.
We all know that parts of life seem easier than others and sometimes life (relationships, loss, school, work, parenting, or even just the day-to-day stuff), feels like trudging through thick, deep mud … uphill! Perhaps you’re feeling stuck, unable to move forwards, and you’re not quite sure why.
Some people have specific therapeutic goals or skills in mind which they would like to develop, while others just know they need to speak with someone in a confidential, non-judgmental and safe space.
Insightfully seeking out and accepting professional support is a skill in itself, often requiring courage and strength.
“Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise”
— Victor Hugo
“What matters most is how well you walk through the fire”
— Charles Bukowski
The mythological Phoenix appears in many cultures as a symbol of strength, overcoming adversity, new beginnings, positivity, hope and healing.
Still I Rise Psychology’s logo is reminiscent of the 23rd letter in the modern Greek alphabet (“Psi”), which is often used to symbolise psychology.
“I founded Still I Rise Psychology whilst working as a Clinical Psychologist in community mental health – helping children, adolescents, parents and families, and raising a family of my own.
Throughout my psychology career, I’ve worked across both private and public sector organisations (from primary through to tertiary mental health care) and with clients across the entire lifespan. Prior to commencing my own private practice, I enhanced my clinical assessment and therapy skills in South Australian workplaces including the Department of Child Protection, outreach services, private practices, schools, and (for over a decade) within Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services.
I see telehealth as an effective means of helping to reduce mental health inequalities. I’m passionate about supporting clients to foster a sense of hope and possibility, and to experience fulfilling, joyful and meaningful lives. Some of my own fulfillment in life is the result of how privileged I feel to be a part of peoples’ journey towards post-traumatic growth and resilience, as they recognise their strengths, accomplish goals, and live in-line with their values.”
“Often it’s the deepest pain which empowers you to grow into your highest self”

“I can be changed by what happens to me, but I refuse to be reduced by it”
— Maya Angelou
